For posterity…
Occasionally I use my blog as a personal scrap book.
Well, the bike is built! And she needs naming… Frankie, a la Françoise? From François. The fastest man on the boards.
Well, she’s a cheapie track/fixie frame, but she’s 54cm size and rocking 45mm BB drop. I’m angry at the vendor, so they don’t get a shout out. The chain stays are too straight to clear any decent crankarms and the vendor knew what I was building.
Light-Bicycle carbon 88m tubular rims, married to Suzue Pro-Max hubs. 28h front, 32h rear - Built by Veloworkshop, nee Veloespresso - wrapped in Vittoria Pista Evo tubs.
Sugino 75 cranks, 165mm, 51T, sitting on a Campag Centaur BB, 2mm off a perfect chainline.
Deda Pista stem and bars, Deda post.
Used Kashimax 5 Star saddle off the Keirin circuit.
A very similar final cost to an off the shelf Felt TK2. Happy man, can’t wait to ride!
