Fail, fail, fail. I took the Microcord MPP out for a walk yesterday.  A lovely 5 hours strolling through some of Hampshire’s loveliest villages and countryside.  I encourage you to go and find Exton, Meonstoke and Corhampton. I discourage you from being distracted and not being 100% on your game when taking a 55 year old camera out for the day. I am totally woebegone while writing this post.  Out of 12 frames possible on the film: 5 are totally unusable, another two are genuinely double exposed and then there is this aberration [audible sigh]. I’m going to tell you about what were the three best shots of the film, which I have SOMEHOW totally overlapped. The top frame was a lovely ninety-sixty-esque shot of a Morris Minor outside a retired post office, with a British icon, the telephone box in the background The middle frame was a pair of Dachshund’s going berserk under a fence, it was cute The bottom frame was a field of flowers in the sun, all light and happiness. Now though, it’s just some cryptic triptych not really worth looking at.  So as punishment I am going to type out some lines and flagellate until I start taking photos with the MPP in my sleep. I must never be distracted with the MPP; compose, meter, set exposure, roll-on film, cock shutter, fire.  I must never be distracted with the MPP; compose, meter, set exposure, roll-on film, cock shutter, fire.  I must never be distracted with the MPP; compose, meter, set exposure, roll-on film, cock shutter, fire.  I must never be distracted with the MPP; compose, meter, set exposure, roll-on film…

Fail, fail, fail.
